Located on the County Highway CS approximately one mile west of downtown, this 45 acre park has a picnic shelter and trail access to Rowan Creek. The park formerly had 10 camper/tent sites that were closed at the end of 2016, mainly based on cost associated with State rule compliance. Approximately 32 acres of the site is native wooded and marshy habitat.
In 2019 the Parks and Recreation Commission initiated a master planning process for Jamieson Park. The purpose of the master plan is to share and visualize ideas; motivate interest and excitement; provide a platform for budgeting and fundraising, including grants; and provide a starting point for detailed engineering plans and in field siting for more complicated elements.
