Public Works Maintenance Worker
The Village of Poynette is seeking applicants for a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker position. The position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in maintenance work, and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Village water, wastewater, street, street light, building, and storm drainage facilities.
High school graduate or equivalent is required. CDL/Heavy equipment operator’s license is required prior to employment or ability to acquire within 60-days of hire. Municipal utility maintenance experience, Municipal Waterworks Operator Certification, Wastewater Operator Certification, and computer skills are all a plus. Drug testing will be required. The position is required to meet some seasonal increases to workload, which may extend hours beyond the normal forty (40) hour work week, including rotating weekends, holidays, and snow events, as needed.
Salary range is $18.00/hour to $21.00/hour, depending on qualifications.
