Yard Waste and Brush Collection

THE BURN SITE IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR PUBLIC USE.

The Village of Poynette offers services, with limitations, to residents who need to dispose of yard waste and other similar refuse.  This includes tree limbs, branches, brush, leaves, and garden waste.

Brush and Bag Collection - The Public Works Department offers curbside collection of yard waste on the first Monday of each month between April and November.  Yard waste left out must meet the requirements outlined in the Brush and Bag Collection Policy linked on the left sidebar of this web page or risk not being picked up.  These requirements include the timing of when materials can be set out, the type of materials allowed, and the size/quantity of materials left out.  Please read this policy carefully.  If you have any questions please contact us using the information to the right.

PLEASE NOTE EFFECTIVE AUGUST, 2022 COLLECTION THE VILLAGE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT  MATERIALS IN COMPOSTABLE BAGS.

Fall Leaf Collection - In the months of October and November only, Public Works crews will pick up leaves weekly as needed depending on the weather. Leaves should be raked to the curb but not in the street. Crews will not be collecting bagged leaves as the Public Works Department has a new Leaf vacuum truck.

Christmas/Holiday Tree Pickup - The collection of trees occurs on the first and second Mondays of January.  Trees must be placed out by 7:00 am of the scheduled collection date.  The collection is subject to weather conditions.
