Eastern Columbia County Joint Municipal Court

The Eastern Columbia County Joint Municipal Court rules upon complaints brought forth by participating law enforcement agencies.  The cases handled include ordinance violations, traffic forfeitures, and other miscellaneous forfeitures.  The Village of Poynette is only one of eleven participating municipal entities.

The Eastern Columbia County Joint Municipal Court is held in the Poynette Village Municipal Building on the 1st Monday of every month as a convenience to the area communities.  The Village of Poynette office does not have any authority over the operations of the Joint Municipal Court.

Court Dates & Plea Entries

If you have questions regarding your court date or if you wish to enter a plea, you should contact Karen Schmitt, Clerk of Court for the Eastern Columbia County Joint Municipal Court.  The Clerk of Court office hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
